What are Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders?

Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders (HSDs) are a group of conditions related to joint hypermobility.

 

They are intended to be diagnosed after all other identifiable disorders are excluded, such as Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS) and Marfan syndrome.

As HSD is diagnosed through a process of elimination, it encompasses a large spectrum of disorders that has yet to be classified. Thus, it is possible for different HSD patients to have symptoms of varying severity. 

However, just like the aforementioned HDCTs, HSDs have the potential to significantly affect our health and thus require similar quick and effective treatment.
